There are two measurements you need to know to order your piece.

1 The gauge

It is the thickness of your jewel.

18 g is recommended for nostril

16g is the most common and can be used on almost all ear, lip and septum piercings.

14 g for piercings with greater movement such as the navel and tongue. Also for bridge, industrial, nipples and conch.

2 The length or diameter

It depends on the thickness of the fabric you have perforated.

A very short piece  it is uncomfortable and you can be embodied.

A very long one is even more uncomfortable and can cause your piercing to become kinky.

As a guide  Measure the piece you have without counting the spheres or with a ruler measure the tissue of your piercing.
